Internet Rechartering

The North Florida Council provides an internet-based method to renew your Scout unit’s annual charter. The charter renewal process is an essential part of youth retention, charter partner relationships and is a user friendly tool for Scout leaders.

NEW for 2021 is a revamped, user-friendly recharter portal that can be accessed by any member of the unit’s “Key 3” Leadership (Primary Unit Leader, Committee Chair or Chartered Organization Representative). This portal will allow for the unit to indicate:

  • Returning members (youth & adult)
  • Add new members (youth & adult)
  • Removing members (youth & adult)
  • Update information for an individual
  • Upload any pertinent documents (youth protection certificates, youth applications, adult applications, consent to background forms for adults, charter agreements)

Please forward to your District’s Program Experience Team member IMMEDIATELY a forwarded copy of the confirmation email sent to members of each unit’s key 3 leadership (Unit Leader, Committee Chair & Chartered Org Rep) upon successful completion of your unit’s recharter in the online portal. The email should be from “Boy Scouts of America” with the subject line “Completed: ‘Unit Type & Number’ Charter.” Doing so will allow our staff to quickly review for accuracy & completeness – & ultimately renew – your unit in good standing with the North Florida Council.
