Internet Rechartering
The North Florida Council provides an internet-based method to renew your Scout unit’s annual charter. The charter renewal process is an essential part of youth retention, charter partner relationships and is a user friendly tool for Scout leaders.
The user-friendly recharter portal can be accessed by any member of the unit’s “Key 3” Leadership (Primary Unit Leader, Committee Chair or Chartered Organization Representative). This portal will allow for the unit to indicate:
- Returning members (youth & adult)
- Add new members (youth & adult)
- Removing members (youth & adult)
- Update information for an individual
- Upload any pertinent documents (youth protection certificates, youth applications, adult applications, consent to background forms for adults, charter agreements)
Please notify your District Executive and Registrar Maggie Flores (Margaret.flores087@scouting.org) once you have submitted your unit’s roster in the online portal. Doing so will allow our staff to quickly review for accuracy & completeness – & ultimately renew – your unit in good standing with the North Florida Council.
In order for your unit’s recharter to be processed, ALL registering adults MUST have completed youth protection training since Jan. 31, 2023, with an expiration date no earlier than Jan. 31, 2025. A YPT status report was provided to your unit as part of their hard copy recharter packet distributed at the December Roundtable. Real-time updates to leader training records are available in the Training Manager on My.Scouting.org.
