The Massing of the Colors is a patriotic ceremony to rededicate our faith in the Colors of the United States, to honor those servicemembers who serve our country, and to memorialize those who sacrificed their lives to preserve our country’s freedom.

Massing of Colors (MOC) is an inspiring ceremony and parade of the National and Organizational Colors by various color guard units from the Jacksonville area. It combines the colors and color guards of Active and Reserve Component military units, veterans’ organizations, civic and patriotic organizations. Additional information is available at

The Massing of Colors (MOC) Ceremony is hosted by the Northeast Florida Chapter #250 of The Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW), a Veterans Service Organization serving ROTC/JROTC Units, Scouting, Public Service and Law & Order, Youth Leadership Conferences and Seminars, National Security and Homeland Security. See for more information.

Our guest speaker will be Honorable Thomas Hall, former Asst. Secretary of Defense for Reserve Forces, and a graduate of The United States Naval Academy.

Color Guards can be a regular 4-Person Unit w/U.S. Flag and Organizational Flag, a 3-Person Unit w/U. S. Flag, and if necessary just one person representing an organization carrying a U. S. Flag.
