Cub Master/Den Leader Specifics Training - St. Johns District

This joint session will provide you with the information and tools needed to successfully lead a Cub Scout Pack.  Cubmasters and assistants who complete this training and Youth Protection training are considered “trained” for both positions.  This course is also intended to provide Lion Cub, Tiger Cub, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos den leaders with the information and tools they need to conduct successful den meetings. Den leaders who complete the Lion, Tiger Cub, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos training and Youth Protection training are considered trained for all five positions.

Participants will learn how to meet the Aims of Scouting by applying the 8 Methods of the Cub Scouting Program. Sessions will include:

• Aims and Methods of Cub Scouting
• Pack Structure
• Childhood Development
• Cub Scout Uniforms
• Conducting a Pack Meeting / Den Meeting
• Keeping Cub Scouting Safe
• Advancement
• Den Management
• Preparing Families for Outdoor Adventures

Registration Cost: FREE – covers light refreshments and course materials.  Registration Closes September 15, 2023.
