Paddle Craft Safety Training

This is a BSA course recommended for unit leaders on paddling excursions.

  • Open to registered adult leaders, Scouts BSA, Venturers, Explorers or Sea Scouts at least 16 years old. 
  • Current Part C medical form required. 
  • All participants must pass a BSA swimmer test and be able to perform water rescues.
  • Written test required.
  • Bring swim clothes, towel, sunscreen, and an extra change of clothes

Due to COVID-19 precautions. This is a bring your own practice partner from your own household.
The Practice Buddy must be able to pass the Swimmer Classification to participate. No charge for the buddy

Camping available with separate reservations.

Cost includes Aquatics Supervision Manual, patch, card, & lunch
Discount if you have the manual from a previous course.

Each participant receives one FREE pool rental at St. Johns River Base or a FREE off-camp canoe rental.
