Swimming Water Rescue Training
This is a BSA course recommended for unit leaders swimming in areas with no lifeguards.
- Open to registered adult leaders, Scouts BSA, Venturers, Explorers or Sea Scouts at least 16 years old.
- Current Class 3 medical form required.
- All participants must pass a BSA swimmer test and be able to perform water rescues.
- Written test required.
Due to COVID-19 precautions. This is a bring your own practice partner from your own household. The victim must be able to pass the Swimmer Classification to participate. No charge for the victim. They do not get a book. Practice partners must be at least 14 years old.
Bring swim clothes, towel, sunscreen, and an extra change of clothes
Camping available with separate reservations.
Cost includes Aquatics Supervision Manual, patch, card, & lunch
Discount if you have the manual from a previous course.
Each participant receives one FREE pool rental at St. Johns River Base or a FREE off-camp canoe rental
